These earrings were created from silver left over from other projects. Initially the scrap silver was melted down into balls and then repeatedly put through a rolling mill until the desired thickness and diameter was achieved. The respective moon and star shapes were cut out. The cratered appearance on the moon’s surface was achieved using reticulation while the star was cleaned and polished to a flat shiny surface. A string of jump rings were then added in each case.
