Bracelet complete

The bracelet “in progress” in a previous post was completed in early June.

Bracelet using fused glass cabochons set in sterling silver bezels and using reticulation on sheet silver.

The bracelet contains four main elements:

  • Two dichroic fused glass cabochons set in specially shaped bezels. The bezels were designed such that two opposing corners on each bezel could have jump rings attached.
  • Reticulation patterns on six squares of sheet silver which were then slightly domed. Reticulating silver involves heating the surface with a blowtorch until the surface is just molten. The blowtorch flame then creates patterns on the molten surface.
  • A silver wire clasp which was designed to have the same square shape as the other elements in the bracelet.
  • All of the above were joined together by oval shaped jump rings, the end one being larger than the others to fit over the clasp.
