Over the last few weeks I’ve been building a workbench to use for my jewellery and glass work.

The main part of the workbench is being made from Redwood (a softwood) with an MDF top and MDF shelves.
The MDF top is made of two layers of 18mm MDF glued and screwed together. The photo below shows the two layers of MDF being weighted down following glueing to ensure that they stick together.

The main framework of the workbench was then put together upside down on the upturned MDF top.
